Mavic Pro Platinum Drift & Altitude Change

What time of day and lighting conditions were you in? Hover accuracy in low light, or above 20ft or so decreases when VPS cameras cannot function properly.

I am going to build a flight tower

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper and less work to just build an antennae that is 16ft high? Mod your controller then just connect into the antennae and fly from inside your home.

    That little circular radar blip??

If you have a tablet it will display both the map and the radar at the same time. On a phone you will have to toggle between the two.

Mavic Pro cycles left and right on take off

How far off center was it deviating in distance? You mentioned that you were flying before dusk which means low light could have caused VPS to be inactive. VPS keeps the keeps the accuracy much tighter over that of just GPS when close to the ground.......but only if there's enough light for it...

    From outdoors to indoors

When you flew inside the building before did you still have a solid GPS signal? Or did you were you in Opti mode from the get go on your indoor flight? Where the Mavic seems to have issues in some situations is when the flight control is making the switch between different modes of flight on...

    Why inceased power consumption upwind?

It means that when you move the stick it is a command to the flight controller to determine the pitch angle and motor RPM to get to the ground speed being commanded by the stick input.

Controlling the Mavic while camera is pointing at the same spot

Spotlight will accomplish what your looking for so long as the subject is relatively close and you want your movements slow. You also have to realize that when you move the aircraft the controls will be relative to the direction of the original heading when Spotlight was initiated. If you truly...

    Rotor Fatigue

It's never a bad idea to look over your blades every so often, but the reality is that the way these style drones fly is not putting any extreme stresses on the blades. The flight controllers limit what can be done so much and the blade RPMs are relatively low.

Is fixed wing mode a visual effect?

I fly RC fixed wing, collective pitch helis, and multi-rotors. The fixed wing mode creates a faux effect of flying a fixed wing aircraft with the camera gimbal. None of it's accurate and get's most of it wrong. It's a weird bastardization of control inputs between a fixed eing and a mutlirotor...

    No quick shots available?

Are you still in beginner mode?

    Spark Propellers on the Air

The fact that you get less flight time proves that they are less efficient.

    Has anyone accomplished this?

Not if you do a manual landing without Landing Protection turned on and you don't shut down the motors by holding the stick down for 3 seconds. If you landed using RTH that wouldn't be a manual landing ;-) .

    Has anyone accomplished this?

Slight caveat here. If you do a true manual landing with Landing Protection disabled but don't shut down the motors upon landing it will not reset the home point.

Intelligent Flight Modes on Mavic Air

If i'm not mistaken the Spark and MA use orbit instead of POI used in the MP/MPP. The TapFly Free seems like a downgrade from course lock TBH. Sure it's basically doing the same thing except without stick control of the speed and direction of travel.

    Side Obstacle Avoidance ?

It's a bit odd how DJI has implemented obstacle avoidance across the different lines MA = front, rear, downward, MP = front, downward, P4P = front, rear, sides, downward, I2 = front, downward, upward. One thing i've been curious with the MA is how long the digital map it's creating is held in...
