How well do yo swim?

It was a over a year ago and there is no video showing the bird. It flew down from the top. There was blood on the prop. It was a group of gulls. The attack was right at the end of my flight along the boats in the morning fog.

Seagull took a P4 out in Bodega Bay, CA. Fortunately, it crash onto a fishing boat in the harbor. Needed new camera, gimbal and 1/2 shell.

Unfortunately, Trump aside, my videos are used in the PC world. Do you think that the Mav quality, for whatever reasons, will appear worse on PCs (& hosts compression) than say a P4Pro? Thx.

After seeing posted video from the Mavic, I am rethinking the decision as I wait. No offense to those who have Mavs but I am not seeing very good quality even when screen focus has been invoked. Any others of you, seeing this serious trade off? (Thinking of going P4Pro.) Thx for your opinions.

Most parks are off limits now. Certainly. State Parks, Nationals and East Bay. It is best to just get away from people.

I doubt that DJI will get into the crowed and declining standalone camera business with ever improving phone cams encroaching from the bottom. I also don't see much use for the Karma detachable given the viewing angle. Pretty much useless.

I hope that GoPro is very successful as we need 3 or 4 contenders in this space.

Hard to believe that he didn't know about the tap-to-focus feature. My guess is that DJI will introduce autofocus in a software update at some point. Learn to fly and land on the deck. No problem. I have always been very apprehensive about hand recovery. And, I really know how to fly with Phantoms, 250 class racers and fixed wing. No way I will ever get my face and hands that close to these props. Your milage may vary.

Prior birds: Two P2, P3 and P4. All but one P2 are gone. Fly some fixed wing, built a few 250 class racers. Mainly interested in videography as I am a avid photogr as well. Retired high tech.
