Just burned through three batteries with the latest dji go update and NO cpu warning. At times video seemed a wee bit choppy but i was also getting poor controller signal warnings. Not definitive by any means but i am going to assume the bug is fixed and start flying my drone again. Woohoo.
Yup, their servers give up after a single try. I have learned to do three tries for each shot i really want. Even with three i still find myself disappointed. We can hope they continue to improve. It is a pretty awesome free app
Register drone with FAA and read the FAA guidelines (cost $5). They are less strict than Canadian rules. State parks allow drones in ca which is great. No launching in national parks. Other than that i use the b4ufly and hover app to keep out of trouble with restricted air space
IMHO Lumafusion is the best you can do for editing on IOS device. It only has basic color grading though. If you want a great color grading IOS app then try Videograde. It gives a lot of control over the video. The downside of this approach is a slow workflow because you need to put it...
My first upload failed too. I went outside a second time, sent drone up and second set of shots uploaded and processed fine. I dont know how to delete and had same initial trouble with the sport mode
If you are limited to an IOS device then you should try Videograde app for color grading your footage. For editing the video and audio you should use Lumafusion. These two apps are must haves when on ios devices. Imho
