Why the naming? Just an ego boost for the dissapointed Spark owners which couldn't wait to get their foldable Spark and make them feel better "upgrading" to a Mavic :p

Do tell us more how the extra battery was stored in your backpack. I only use dedicated LiPo bags; not as much as to contain a possible fire, but to be sure the battery pins do not get shorted by other metallic objects in my backpack.

Controller is a must for Mavic - otherwise you would waste a very powerful drone. If you are on a budget, there's no shame in going for the Spark. Yet, if you want to fully benefit of Mavic's capabilities, take the controller; you will not regret it.

Every time I am bashing the small Mavic camera for all the obvious flaws it has (not starting here again; you know it all) I get to shoot a picture like this (stitched panorama), and I get mixed emotions. Is it just me that is feeling the same? :D

I assume you are referring to someone who modified his Mavic. Yet, this is not about that topic; it's about this example here, and I doubt that user has changed anything to his Phantom drone previous to his vacation: How DJI is ruining my holiday right now!
