Not saying it matters, but what FW are you on? I had rc disconnect (along with other issues) mavic 5ft away on FW.600 and rth was activated.

I returned one to best buy, called DJI ,sent a few emails and they transferred my care refresh to new mavic

Thank you Nightowl702 for taking the time to post your results. I considered oa being on as part of the comparison. As far as wind , we are all at the mercy of mother nature. So no one is going to get true scientific results. Bet you had fun doing it though.

I completely agree. My pre flight check include trying to dislodge battery ( without pushing release tabs)

Do not update the aircraft, leave it on the firmware it came with. My latest mavic arrived on .400 fw and it still is on .400

Bebop 2 is a blast to fly with the sky controller.,also tough as nails! It and the spark are two different drone ,highly capable play drone, highly capable selfie drone. I'm an old man ,rather play than take selfies.

100mil ,start your own drone company, build them in the US, I'll buy one or two. Hope they don't just sit on a shelf like the rest that don't perform as well as this Chinese one
