    Nah, even if the OP hadn't seen it with his own eyes unaided, it's movement relative to the moon were not consistent with a reflection. It was a meteor.

    Has anyone reported whether a teardown followed by plugging the hole of the beeper case itself (not exterior vent holes) will substantially reduce the volume? I'm not going to remove the beeper, but I'd be happy to muzzle it.

    Up to each user whether to try to remove the sticks. But please stop talking about the pots. There are no pots. The joysticks use Hall effect sensors to interpret stick position, not variable resistors ( = potentiometers = 'pots').
