    Got my Mavic Enterprise today.

From memory, I think it was actually a Dutch guy not British ...

MA goes ballistic spins hits 90kmph and survives

This was my second Mavic after my first unit had major issues with each FW update and took several attempts to get the issues resolved. I figured that the hassle of getting DJI to resolve an issue that only occurs once a month would be more than the inconvenience of waiting a minute while it...

MA goes ballistic spins hits 90kmph and survives

My Mavic has done this at least 10 times over the past 18 months. Fortunately I always fly well within visual line of sight so each time it has happened a quick look at the Mavic reveals that the erratic video is a function of the gimbal going floppy and wobbling around randomly. The Mavic...

Mavic Pro took-off without given command and crashed :(

My guess is that you must have pushed up on the thrust, maybe whilst holding down the Mavic, to help speed up the discharge which will have made the Mavic think it was in flight. When you released the throttle and left it to idle, it thought it was still in flight. Over time, with an increase...

    Crashed, but why?

Any chance you had picked up some dust in one of the motors? This could cause a temporary over current but would not necessarily stop the motor.

What the * *** happened here?

I agree. It has happened to me on my Mavic, Inspire 1 & Inspire 2 several times over the past three years. It’s quite unnerving the first time it happens but don’t panic. Return to the ground, stop & restart the drone and you’ll be good to go.

I want a manual mode with atti, switch!

Yes, I’d like to see a manual ATTI mode on the Mavic. Perhaps the lack of ATTI mode is reason for the high rate of Mavic crashes in comparison to the Inspire & Matrice craft? After all, the only time a Mavic owner gets to practice ATTI mode flying is the point at which the GPS fails ...... and...

Gimbal Roll problem even after calibration - Should i return for replacement?

This is quite normal. After a rapid pan, the Mavic will slowly correct the horizon (as yo can see in your video) but this takes a few seconds, during which time the horizon will be squint. This is not a significant issue as such a rapid pan does not make a pleasant video. During a smooth, slow...

    Traveling with Mavic

Just returned from Sydney last week. Mavic needs to be stored in checked in luggage and all batteries kept with you in cabin luggage. I did get several questions about the batteries but no issues getting through security. Check flight laws and restrictions for the locations you will be flying...

Do you think the Mavic is powerful enough to cut a finger?

I often need to hand catch my I1, I2 and Mavic, especially when landing back on a moving boat. Whilst I would strongly recommend that you AVOID hand catching where ever possible, if you take the following precautions they will at least help to minimise the risk: 1. Turn of downward sensors...

    Compasss calibration

Assuming that you are making the correct movements, the most common calibration issues are caused by external interference, which can come from large metal objects, or electronic devices such as mobile phones or digital watches, etc. Sent from my iPad using MavicPilots

    Android vs iOS

I so wanted to be able to use Android as I have a spare tablet that would be ideal for the Mavic but to date I have found the Android app to be less than 100% reliable. I now use iOS on my iPhone 6. Even though the display is a bit smaller than I would like, at least the iPhone is 100%...

    Mavic Joystick protection free!!!

I leaver the stick out between my finger & thumb, a sort of prizing action to separate the stick from the ball. Sounds rude but it works for me. I too didn't believe it at first. Still not sure I want to do it on a regular basis but might take them out before taking the kit on a long journey or...

I found a SanDisk microSD card inside the Mavic.

It's used to store the flight logs. Changing it will not make the Mavic 'think faster' but it might invalidate your warranty. Sent from my iPad using MavicPilots

    Mavic Joystick protection free!!!

Wow, you're right, they do pull out! It needs quite a bit of force though. The sticks appear to be metal and a tight interference fit into the plastic ball so I don't think it is likely to break as long as it is pulled strait out and not twisted. Try it at your own risk, please don't blame me...
