I took the exact same file from a DJI Mavic Air (4k30 h.264) and put it on the timeline in these three programs. iMovie blew Premiere and Resolve away.

Not sure we have a definitive conclusion honestly, but just a theory that the forward pitch + head wind + low flying + DJI algorithm made for a sketchy situation.
Thanks for the update OP. Did you return to DJI or your retailer? I have a similar issue and am thinking of sending it back. Just curiouse how much trouble I will have with DJI honoring this issue.
You have a few options I think (maybe others can chime in):
1) A skilled pilot could just fly the drone in this manner, but you will need to practice to get it smooth.
2) Active track might be able to fly like this? I have never tried but it may be possible.
3) Waypoints. Looks like the SDK...
Interesting, thanks for the detailed analysis! Extremely helpful!
I was definitely flying into a decent wind, so I wonder if you are correct in that the extra forward pitch (and velocity) that happens starting a 344 caused it to descend. I guess it must be part of their algorithms on...
Maybe 10-15 feet. I know the MP had issues with auto landing over water if you were full stick down descending, but I was simply using the forward stick, not hitting the altitude stick at all. At least to my recollection. I was hoping someone could tell from the log what my sticks were doing...
I don't have any accessories installed. The sensors look clean.
I recall being at full throttle (up positions), and it was moving forward, but descending at the time, not ascending even though the sensors say it was ascending.
I went for a quick flight today and my Mavic Air seemed to descend rapidly towards the ocean! I was just flying over the edge of the shore when all of sudden I saw it start to descend towards the water on its own. I stopped the MA and then ascended and flew home. I am trying to analyze the...
I sold my Mavic Pro and bought the Mavic Air and love everything about it other than battery life. I knew it was going to be a compromise, but I seem to only get 15-17min usable battery. Does this seem normal? Just got another battery today from Advexture (fast shipping, wow!) so l will give...
For those of us in the US, it looks like similar items are starting to show up on ebay.. who is going to be the first one to risk it!?!?

This guy does a great analysis of what you see in the pro vs air. Like others stated above, it isn't perfect, and everything is a compromise in a drone, but the air seems to hit the widest target for this prosumer-ish category. If you drew a Venn diagram of cost vs size vs range vs battery...
Wow, thanks for taking the time to do this. Very interesting results. I know a lot of us Mavic Pro owners spent a lot of time messing around with sharpness settings trying to get rid of watercolor effect and this side by side really shows what we were fighting. Glad to have moved on to the...
