Dji Care Refresh Full Review and Tips

I have my mavic covered for accidental damage and theft by Photoguard. It costs me £4 per month and has an excess of £50. It's a new for old policy, so I won't end up with a refurb unit if mine crashes and needs to be replaced. Fly-aways aren't covered unless I can retrieve the physical drone -...

Thanks TJ for putting this up!!

Manchester/Cheshire here - can anyone recommend any good clubs to join to expand my skills and wisdom?

DJI GO 4 app on Android 7?

I love Android, but hate the way that Samsung implement it, so a Galaxy would never be my phone of choice. As much as I'm loathe to admit it, the iPad Mini 2 is currently my device of choice for the Mavic. Never thought I'd ever see the day where I recommend an Apple device over an open...

DJI GO 4 app on Android 7?

Sadly, I use a banking app quite a lot, which won't run on a rooted phone, so I'm stuck with stock. But thanks for the tip!

DJI GO 4 app on Android 7?

Nexus 6p, with the very latest Nougat build and the very latest DJI Go 4 app. The Nexus 6P runs stock Android, so should, in theory, be the one of the least problematic Android phones out there, but no such luck for me. Really not happy with it - getting entire phone lock-ups (never seen that...

    UK Insurance

Hi there - it's covered while using the drone, but only for accidental damage. So operator error is covered, but mechanical failure isn't, as far as I can tell.

So glad to have discovered this thread. I too missed the 48 hour deadline for DJI care, and glad that I did. Got my fly more combo covered for theft and accidental damage, with a £50 excess for only £45 per year! Thanks all for the heads up!

    Hola from sunny Manchester, UK!

Lol - picked up my Mavic 2 days ago! Not been able to fly yet, owing to the weather! Sent from my Nexus 6P using MavicPilots mobile app

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

Happy today - just collected my Mavic Fly More from drones direct!! (4 months, 1 week after ordering!!!!). The guy there said they had -220 in stock, which I take to mean that's how many unfulfilled orders are left to send out while they wait for more stock! As happy as I am to have it now...

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

Same here, and the fact that cancelling would cost me around £100 owing to the price difference. Also, all teething problems with manufacture should, by now, be resolved.

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

I'm sure it will over the next few days, m8. It's strange - after waiting since mid October I'm almost resigned to never receiving my Mavic. When it does eventually arrive, I'll be utterly surprised. The things you do to save less then £100!

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

My drones direct Fly More order (placed on Oct 19th!!) has just gone from "Awaiting Stock" to "Awaiting Despatch", so I'm hoping they have stock now, too.... (not holding breath)

I lost my Mavic and need help finding out what happened - FOUND BY STARZ!

Well, I arrived at this thread a little late in the day, but ended up reading it from start to finish. Best thing I've read online for ages. My faith in humanity is restored - huge kudos to those who helped retrieve the drone. Not got my Magic yet, but already really happy to be a part of this...

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

You're correct. Not as good a deal as I thought. I'm losing faith in Drones Direct, as their marketing is obviously misleading.

    Mavic Deliveries - UK

Anyone ordered from Drones Direct and received anything yet? I ordered their "Ultimate Bundle" - basically a Fly More, but with a third battery - back on 19th October and they're currently estimating March delivery!! The cost was only £1247, so it represents a substantial saving over current...
