I've had a similar experience before, random dog fixated on the drone as it came down. I just did the usual hand catch, higher than usual, reaching up to the sky so that the dog wouldn't get any ideas to try to jump to catch it. I was more worried about the dog jumping at me and pushing me away...

For me there was a fix. Use a different SD card. I realized that was the problem when a completely fresh Mavic started doing the same thing. I didn't even need to replace it, only the SD card. I'd try that. Not just a different one but a different brand, get the most expensive super fast version...

Sorry to hear that. You'll get a better one I'm sure. It's a rare problem. In my case I bumped it into a wall. It may have been a bit loose already but in the end it got messed up. I've had plenty of other Mavics since (still got two) and had one more crash and the camera is still sharp as ever.

For me the problem has ceased on both my Mavics since I replaced the 64 gig SD card to a cat3 high speed 32 gig one. And I've flown both (one of the quads probably a dozen times or more - never a glitch).

When was that? I did a firmware upgrade maybe the day or a day before posting this thread. Therefore I had to give it internet then - and it didn't force the update on me. They could have changed something since then. The new firmware has been due for a while.
