My issue was resolved. It was due to the gimbal being disconnected, on one of it's corners, to the rubber band support system. It's a tiny piece to reconnect and you'll likely need a toothpick or tweezers. I'm happy with the purchase so far.
I am also experiencing the same error condition. Just received the MPP on Wednesday, 11/13, from VeryDrone. I calibrated the IMU, compass, and gimbal before taking first flight. Next steps are to reapply firmware and attempt another round of sensor calibrations.
I've been using Litchi as well...experienced similar (if not same) issues as the OP. I had more success after turning off the front collision avoidance sensor, after seeing how it causes the drone to stop/pause mid-flight while facing the Sun at a critical angle.
Thanks for the comment Jeff. I double-checked fit...also thinking it may have not been pushed all the way in. I'll try again and let you know. I'll see if it continues to hit the side plate.
I actually have both. The folks at Polar Pro was nice enough to give me a discount on the Cinema Vivid Series, which were received last Friday. I've tested with all three filters (Cinema Vivids). Repeating the same steps multiple times. The gimbal gets physically stuck in the same position...
First time poster here - Thanks for taking a moment to make this statement. I am experiencing the same startup issues, with gimbal initialization getting stuck.
