    Tripod mode too fast

Things change and they don't always improve. I've been flying the Mavic Pro since for over 4 years now and amazingly mine works as well as ever now. It's so dependable. I was just flying yesterday. I have no need to upgrade until there is something compelling.

WOW Am I the only member that's stuck with the original Mavic Pro??

Same here exactly plus I love how it is "configurable".

DJI wins in court, Autel patents invalid

I agree with the board here - this obvious method of prop attachment shouldn't be patentable.

    Tripod mode too fast

It's just nice be able to "floor it" - you can even tie off the throttle with a rubber band or whatever. Just leave it shooting for 15 minutes. The Mavic Pro is just perfect this way.

    Tripod mode too fast

I noticed in the specs the tripod mode in the Mavic Air 2 is 5 m/s max. That's over 11 mph. I love taking hyperlapse videos with my old Mavic Pro. I can just pin the speed on full with my thumb and it goes at a perfect speed, just under 2 mph, very steady and nice. Same with the Phantom 4 I...

Hivemapper offer to get Litchi for free

Hivemapper is a mapping company in the Silicon Valley that works really well with drone video. Right now they're having a promotion where they reimburse you for buying the Litchi app once you upload your video and make your first map. It's free. Here's the info

    Who's took the plunge?

I don't really need wide or ultra wide angle. But I really NEED straight lines (poles, building edges, and everything else) to be STRAIGHT. I hate that GoPro look. Just tried dewarp on the Osmo Action and it really really works!

    Who's took the plunge?

Got mine today - to replace my Sony FDRX3000 (which has been awesome but is starting to have glitches). Looks good so far. Trying some timelapses etc. Will use on my upcoming bike trip to South America.

    Mobil Device CPU Fully Loaded

I see the same thing with my iPad Mini 4 occasionally if I am also doing screen recording. But no loss of responsiveness. It's never been an issue and I only see it very rarely.

    Anyone know what this is?

    So funny

Mavic 2 Pro + Davinci Resolve + Capture One

I just recently upgraded to the paid version and it is really great. So glad I did. The lens corrections don't work in the free version (even in Resolv 15) and I now have 2 graphics cards in my system and the paid version lets me control which is used for what. I would never have done it back...

Mavic Pro 2 - No RAW in Panoramic mode?

I use Panorama Studio Pro to process the Panos into Little Planets and interactive zoom/pan pages. The stitched pano from DJI isn't much use to me. M2P example: Little Planet https://www.flynathan.com/pano/ruby2_lp.jpg Panorama https://www.flynathan.com/pano/ruby2.html I'll try out the raw...

Mavic 2 Pro Gimbal Guard is wretched!

I haven't really had a problem with it. It was a little fiddly the first time but once I had done it a couple of times it's really no big deal. It really just slips in pretty easily and seems pretty secure. I use a Drone Valley gimbal guard for my Mavic Pro which is vastly superior to DJI's...

What display are you guys/gals using? Mini 4 still ok?

I've been using the ipad mini 4 (cell model with no sim card in it) for the past year with the Mavic Pro and for the past couple of weeks with the Mavic 2 Pro. It fits perfectly in the controller arms and is rock solid. I flew out 25k' and back easily without any glitches or problems. While it...

Mavic Pro 1 vs 2 - "Lost" features?

Yes, Litchi waypoint mode is great. You design the whole flight in the comfort of your home on a large screen. You can set it so the drone just flies the exact path you designed, at the speeds you pick and you have total control of photo/video start/stop, gimbal angle, flight orientation - it's...
