It looks good when processed into a splat. But from the ones I've done they always look good from the angle and distance they were captured at, but look very blurry/distorted when you get close. Still, awesome tech :)

You can do all of the above, although I believe submitting to google earth is a pain. At the moment I'm 3D printing a local Castle ruin I scanned recently.
I've mainly used Metashape, RealityCapture and 3DF Zepher over the years. I seem to get better results with 3DF Zephyr, but that might be down to me liking the work flow of that better than the others. I use the latest full version, so 7.5xxx something.
The camera on the Air 3 is capable of some decent photogrammetry.
The below was done with 306 photos over 2 passes of the cathedral (100m and 70m altitude).
I took the photos manually rather than a waypoint mission, but did use the POI mode to slowly circle the cathedral. Images were batch...
I've got DJI Care Refresh on my Air 3. I'm just wondering if I have a flyaway or the drone is damaged do I need to return the controller as part of the refresh?
I'm sure I missed it in the documentation,. but I just cant find a reference to it.

That expansion port is for the 4G SIM/eSIM card adapter module(cant remember the proper name for it). If out of O4 range the 4G kicks in to cover drone connectivity.
I purchased these from amazon uk but decided not to use them in the end. While it would be nice to protect the motors more, we don't really know if they were left open for a technical reason or not.
