Yeah looking at AirMap there looks to be a slice of ground that it appears open to fly. The flight restrictions are what is getting me it looks like the only true clear to fly area is down by Destin.
Although time wise I have had the Mavic for awhile I have done mostly flying around East Fork. Took the Mavic all the way to China only to get rained out at the Great Wall.
Checking back in with this thread to see where people are flying? AirMap looks pretty colorful with warnings.

Yes it looks like the area is well outside of Beijing and outside of the 6th ring road. Thankful for google maps since I had no idea until I looked on the map.

Hello - I will be traveling to Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan in March. I am guessing by this thread that my day trip to the Great Wall (Jinshanling Great Wall Section) that I would be OK to fly the Mavic there. Should I have any concerns regarding travel through the other countries...
