Yeah... Plausible explanation.
Also, his total battery percentage keeps dropping for the remainder of the flight (as it should), yet the cell voltages remain unchanged.
I wonder if they're completely separate voltage sensors or maybe it's just the app/rc 'guesstimating' total percentage based...
Anyone notice his strange battery voltage readings? At first the cells are discharging nominally, then, at around 1min 47seconds they start to go up and then soon after freeze ?
Last week I helped a local flyer analyze his log (crashed it in a lake) and even retrieved the drone for him.
I completely disassembled it to dry off each PCB and unfortunately it's a complete write off.
DJI did not build these to resist any water ingress. The body shell is not sealed and...
I had this same problem with my first Mavic. It would begin a gradual drift to the right soon after pitching forward -- Calibrations, FM roll backs, log analysis' to no avail. Returned it for a refund (you have 15 days) and bought another one.
It is worth noting that the Mavic will drift in...
Well, I'm glad they went with incremental product changes instead of launching yet another bug ridden lineup.
They're solidifying their current hardware while (hopefully) using R&D resources on all the software issues.
After some quick googling back in April-May there was an FCC leak of a new Mavic model M1S (Mavic Pro is model M1P). It was assumed that this was a "standard" budget Mavic, but this proved untrue as it never materialized.
Anyway, FCC testing is a tale tale sign of a new uplink/downlink...
Wouldn't rule out additional sensors but I'll tell you that after owning a P4P I quickly came to a realization that the additional rear sensors are pretty useless. Working side sensors would be nice but it's hard to see where they would stash the extra hardware in the current chasis which is...
Speaking in hypotheticals (if this leek is true), likely upgrades to the current lineup (IMO):
Minor speed improvement (Akin to Inspire 1 vs Inspire 1 V2) - also the reasoning of the prop design change.
Dual band support (Watch for an FCC leak for a new Mavic Pro remote).
Improved camera...
Just one more comment; the 1 year manufacturer warranty covers all hardware defects. If you've tried all the calibrations (especially compass and sticks for this particular drifting issue) then you're fully entitled to a replacement.
Especially if your defective unit is a replacement. If you...
It is a known fact that replacements in almost all cases are refurbished units. If you're within the 15 day refund time-frame, don't hesitate - insist on a refund.
The RMA process is slow, but in my experience the CS reps I was dealing with were very professional and sided with me every time. I...
When did you purchase yours? You do have 15 days to raise a ticket with support before your refund eligibility expires then your best hope is a replacement unit.
Here's the troubleshooting I followed, maybe it will fix it for you:
Calibrate compass in a wide open field away from any metal...
Appreciate you looking at it, thanks.
I definitely inspected the gimbal several times and it looked fine. Upon power up it did its dance and then it faced forward (have pictures if interested). Though never absolutely still - it would track to the side very slowly along the horizon.
I did one...
Yeah, I already tried that several times and I concluded this wasn't the problem. See previous posts.
Sent it back, now just waiting... it sucks.
No I didn't post it since no one seemed particularly interested, but here you go...
