What is the lowest you have gone?

Good stuff, would make my screen shots easier. Thanks!

What is the lowest you have gone?

I still use the stock controller and clamp with my stock iPhone method for the screen shot. The clamp obscures the home button slightly but I can still get enough of my finger in there for the button press to register. CamoGreg, that is a stunning photo of the sea cave, great color in it!

    Mavic & restrictive software intervention

Before I bought my mavic and while I was still researching, I didn't know those terms either and I did not know the answer to you questions . But I spent 1 hour reading the threads on this site from the top and knew the answers to all of your questions. I apologize for the jerk-ish response...

    Mavic & restrictive software intervention

This is a forum for the mavic only... Spending a few minutes reading even the top 15 threads here will answer your questions. Hint: the answer is yes to all except the reporting question you asked. Feel free to ask follow up questions in specific threads.

What is your top takeoff altitude?

    That is beautiful footage!

What is your top takeoff altitude?

I guess I have a theme going here, see my sister thread: What is the lowest you have gone? So what is your highest TAKEOFF altitude? This is not the highest you have gone from you home point (maximum being 500m), but rather the highest altitude at which you started flying. I had a chance to...

RC maneuvering from inside a car..with the aircon on.

You are exactly right in this. I usually launch from the roof of my pickup and it gets pissed when I do that. All kinds of compass errors and stuff. Once I get in the air it all clears up and I'm fine for the flight.

RC maneuvering from inside a car..with the aircon on.

I did this flight from inside my car. And this one: Tacoma pickup truck, nothing special.

    Hangar 360 crash

Are you using the latest version on iOS? Last week, I think, they upgraded the app and all my processed pictures disappeared and the ones I uploaded would not show up. I went to the developers website and it said you must be on their most recent version to see processed pictures. After I...

    Club 3-Mile

The elevation at my launch is about 4700' and at the end of my run (in my screen shot) I was 6300'. I might be able to test at higher elevations but not anytime soon. Too much snow.

"Battery Error" - "Over Current Discharge" Warnings in Flight!

Did you actually see the drone tumbling out of the sky with LOS? Because what you describe sounds exactly like a gimbal reset. There are multiple threads about it but the but the symptoms are the loss of video feed for several seconds. Then the video feed returns, video recording has been...

    Club 3-Mile

Absolutely. I flew back in Sport Mode in a straight line and I got back with 23% battery life left. I have noticed that the RTH limit is VERY conservative for me. This could perhaps be because the vast majority of my flying is with severe elevation changes given the nature of the area I fly in.

    Club 3-Mile

I don't have too many flat areas since I am in the mountains. So I always have to go vertical to get significant distance. Here's my longest from launch record which isn't much but I also had to get up to the ceiling of 1640' to avoid running into mountains.

What is the lowest you have gone?

So I actually tested this yesterday despite what I said earlier. I went to a new spot and flew down to a river that was about 200' below me. It was a wide and flat canyon so I took a leap of faith at -195' and hit the RTH button (for the first ever as a matter of fact). Then it flew straight up...

What is the lowest you have gone?

I have thought about that myself and I believe that it would ascend to 0 elevation and then ascend to my preset RTH elevation which is 400'. However this is not an experiment I am willing to try! If the **** hits the fan one day and I find out the answer I will make sure to post and let...
