Totally endorse Jimmyk's comments. I adjusted Gain as follows: Pitch/Roll/Vertical to 96 and Yaw to 90. Solid as a rock.

Are you pulling the right stick towards you to slow it down? If so it will disengage fixed wing mode.

Hi Steven. See my post in another post 'compass calibration problem'. You need to do the opposite and demagnetize instead of running a magnet over the drone.
