So any idea why it failed to descend? As you can see, at 3m 58 it has reached the homepoint at altitude and instead of descended, it remains there. After roughly 30 seconds I cancel the RTH. I only initiated RTH to show a buddy and was disappointed it did not land.

Another issue I ran into tonight, I initiated a return to home. The unit flew up to the set height, returned to home, rotated the correct direction but did not descend. It just stayed at the RTH altitude. Any ideas what caused it? I was flying at night and it wasn't very lit.

I have a couple questions in regard to the GPS/ Compass. Is there a way to turn the GPS off while flying. For instance, I was trying to fly indoors in a NFZ and in certain spots it would pick up the GPS. It would force it to land since it was in a NFZ but I was indoors. The other question I have...

I called the local number to the store and got the automated system. Said manager and it put me in touch with an employee. They said they had at least one in stock although online showed none. I went by and bought the only one they had.

Holy crap. It worked. Called the Nashville store and they had one although the web said none in stock. Flew over there and bought it. Huge thanks man

At least they gave a solid date. Hopefully they can keep that date and it arrives before Christmas.

I understand what you are saying, but how do you know dji hasn't been shipping some units to their direct customers and some to retail stores. Seems like quite a few Apple customers are starting to receive theirs. And with the recent Newegg thread, they may get some soon. I'm just as skeptical...

Let's keep the scenario but change the product. If a DJI authorized store had a mavic in stock but would only sell if for a premium price, you would be ok with that? So if Best Buy comes out later today and has 20 in stock, should they sell them for $999 or whatever someone is willing to pay...

That's what ours shows now. Who knows when they will actually ship this thing.

I saw that earlier and and placed an order for that package. I'll cancel one order one I get the mavic. I'm hoping the fly more comes first.

Amazon's site now indicates Jan 15 as release date. I wonder how that effects previous orders.
