Dont know if this is supposed to go here but im confused. Can the mavic fly 400 meters or 400 ft. On the height limit it says 500m for meters but i see alot of people say feet

Max height for Mavic is 500 meters. FAA guidance max height for hobbyists is 400 feet.

400 feet is the FAA imposed ceiling (the highest you are allowed to fly by the FAA - in the US). Many hobby flyers argue that the 400 foot rule is a guideline, which hobby flyers can choose to obey or ignore. But 400 FEET is the current rule or guideline.

Huh you went full circle at the end!!

A "rule" is a US law and a "guideline" is a suggestion by the FAA. Here are the actual rules and guidelines from the FAA's website:

Hobby Flying Rules

While flying above 400 feet AGL is probably not the safest thing to do in most situations, there is no rule that prevents hobbyists from doing it. IMHO, it would be best to treat the FAA's guidelines as rules.
