Sometimes we have fpv events indoors such as large warehouses, if I try to fly indoors and GPS is detected it could cause issues such as drifting etc.

How can I force the GPS off and ATTI only mode?

Oh wow, thats something that even my original NAZA can do. If it can be done in the firmware they should do it, not being able to fly inside is a big limitation for me as more and more racing events are moving to indoor warehouses or inside closed stadiums where GPS could get confused.

It could surely be done. All of DJI's other aircraft have a remote controller switch to enable ATTI mode.

That would be a big plus, hopefully very soon.

As far as I remember ATTI mode is necessary to take the UK UAV test so you cant do it with a Mavic?

Would it be possible to block the GPS signal by taping silver foil over the back of the hull where the receiver is located?
I haven't tried it. I know some people have done that with Phantoms.
