I could be totally mistaken (noob here) but the rings around the helipads are closer to the correct 5 mile regulation distance, I'm thinking the one showing around DFW is a different airspace requirement. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I wouldn't worry about helipad as long as you're not traveling beyond LOS, I fly immediately South of DFW international (for commercial purposes) and have only had 1 occasion where a helicopter was present near the pad and it was clearly above my ceiling. Be careful and follow the rules but I wouldn't concern to much with helipads

I'm over in Bedford area. Would definitely be interested in meeting fellow owners. Haven't met one yet, just lots of interested people in the Mavic.

I'm in the Frisco / Plano area, and would enjoy meeting up with some fellow MP owners.

Does anybody have the phone number to call to give heads up to DFW for flying in their vicinity? I've called Dallas Executive, he chuckled and said, yeah, not much going on here today. I am really wondering if these airports are going to get tired of me calling them all the time. There's really nowhere in the DFW area that you can fly without having to call one airport or another!

In Prosper, great fields to fly around up here. Flew yesterday in Coppell over near Andy Brown park. My dad and brother each got a Mavic as well so we all met up and flew yesterday.
You can't fly in Brown park! We drove all the way up here to find this sign and a parks truck monitoring the park.
