Different versions of Mavic pro? CE & FCC

Is the Mavic Pro a universal model, or is there indeed a FCC and CE version?

Assuming there is only one model. Does Firmware automatically impose CE or FCC limitations
on mavic according to your locale?

There is only one Mavic model. The Mavic auto switches between FCC/CE based on its current GPS location.

Could you elaborate on the two modes by software. Are there physical restrictions placed on the aircraft?
such as 4km max distance in these regions (Europe & Australia).

Or are the two modes for mavic to adjust to local Radio frequencies, etc

half the flyers out there must be CE, so if someone has a definitive answer that would be swell

It's just a lower power output in CE regions as there is a different upper limit set by rule-makers because they can.
In practice the reduction in range is often much less than you might have thought.
It's far more important to have uncongested wifi band and good open area to start preferably somewhat elevated if you want good range.
