I couldn't agree more. In fact, I always *assumed* DJI was an American company. Imagine my surprise when I learnt they were Chinese, for all the same reasons you mentioned above.

You are right. DJI stands for "Dow Jones Industrial"

Lets be clear, There are a ton of Chinese companies making drones and a lot of them are junk or knock off junk. When you spend 1000+ you better be getting quality, doesn't matter where its made.

It's kind of OK when the Chinese are 'knocking off' each other, there'd be no point knocking off drones made in the west, that would be like GM deciding to copy Lada.
