Flying my Mavic surrounded by the police

Went to grab coffee at my neighborhood Dunkin Donuts here in Rockford, IL and stumbled upon the annual Cops on the Rooftop fundraiser for Special Olympics. It looked like a perfect photo op so I asked a few of the officers working the drive thru if they would want some drone shots for publicity and they overwhelmingly said yes! My Mavic Pro was 2 blocks away so I grabbed it and got some fun pics and video for the department. Most of the comments came from their amazement the drone could fly that well in the windy conditions we had here this morning. Got it done just in time before the rain came!

My 'get out of jail free' card should arrive in 4-6 weeks. I'm guessing.

Yes its good when you get the nod from the police. I had the same amusement when i showed the police in my local cafe i had flown over their police station.

They loved it and wondered why the force was not using drones themselves for searches.
