How did you get it all the way in there? I have an iPad mini 3 and it can't get it all the way to the controller. Is the iPad mini 4 a tad bit smaller?
Also, what is this 'right angle lightning connector' you speak about?


EDIT: After a search on the forums here, I know what a right angle lightning connector is now.
And a search on youtube, shows me how to put the iPad mini in there.

If you want one that covers both, DJI has their own shade that fits on the antennae, but I'd go with the one in the link above. I had the DJI one and it was just ok for the Ipad, but a bit clumsy.

I flew with my new ipad mini 4 yesterday and by far its the best device i've used yet. All my android devices sucked.

I started flying with an iPad mini 2 I got on Craigslist. It's a whole new experience! I love it!!

I tried it and the Go 4 will only orient horizontally and can't get it to go vertical. Did you solve this problem?
