First time getting it up (The Drone) by hand today.
With a bit of trepidation, but after some reading and watching YouTube, I made my first successful take offs and landing by hand.
My technique was holding the Drone with left hand underneath about shoulder height then using auto takeoff slider on phone, landing was the same although the sensors tried to kick in, had not disabled them on purpose as I wanted to see how they function. Grabbed the Drone toward the front and again underneath.
As I pulled the stick down to land and power off, the Drone at first tried to take off again it then gave up and powered off.
All up very successful and gives me confidence for launching from beaches and rocky areas.
Good skill to develop I think. Wouldn't use it all the time but nice to know I could.

I practically always hand launch and hand catch due to the camera and props being so close to ground.
Best to straighten the props roughly to minimise that jolt as they fling out.
On landing turn it away from you and gradually lower the main body of it onto your outstretched hand.
It's best to turn off the landing protection though not sure it's essential.
