I'm in the area as well. I've had mine for two months, and no problems.

Going to be in Charlottesville next week. Is it worth it to bring my Mavic? Coming in from DC which is basically a giant no fly zone. Just curious how accessible flying spots are.

No problems.
We are far away from DC.
The airport has an operating tower from about 6am-midnight, so there's the five mile thing, but I've had no problems after notifying them.

Great to hear and thank you for the quick response. I'm staying close to UVA campus and it looks like there are a few possibilities away from town, etc.
