Just a bit of a whine...
I live in Japan and ordered through a Japanese reseller via Amazon JP. Apparently they received the standard flymore kit, opened the boxes, inspected and updated the firmwares for batteries and controller and aircraft. Sounds helpful but of course those go out of date quickly.
Whining begins. They also signed me up for a Japanese aftercare plan for a year for free. This process apparently activated my Mavic with DJI so when I tried to sign up for Refresh it says it was already registered and activated more than 48 Hours ago, so impossible without a stupid evidence video.
I wanted DJI's refresh even at the extra cost because (1) I understood the terms better in English, (2) DJI will handle claims in English, and (3) it's on my timeline before flight instead of the clock starting on the date the reseller opened my box.
Now to figure out what this free plan covers... it better be good.
