The female lightning plug is for charging only. No data. So it can't be used to connect the RC to the iPad.

The Lightning port on the adapter is for charging only. By the way, it's HDMI not HTMI.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. It gives an Apple device an HDMI output. That's what it's designed to do and it works fine.

Huh? The Lightning Digital AV Adapter is what we're talking about. The female Lightning port in that Adapter is for charging only. What's not entirely true?
