Just wondering if apple's imovie will edit d-log footage.
Don't really want to spend more money on fcp since I don't do much editing.

Yes, iMovie will edit any of the colour choices you set in the mavic, Including d-log. You could use Da vinci Resolve (which is free in the 1st stage form) for a greater colour correction opportunity, but iMovie is much easier to understand for simple editing.

No Problem!
Just one thing to keep in mind when using iMovie. It can do absolutely loads of stuff and is easy to learn. But it cannot sharpen (willing to be corrected) in its latest form. So if you are using the latest D-log after firmware update with advised settings seen here and on many other forums , and posts, i.e.
-1, -3, -3 (not saying these are absolute adjustments, just an example)
then maybe experiment with the first setting of -1 which is for sharpening. Might just need to set that to default 0. Or you might not. try yourself. Over sharpening can look a rough and course, and so can under sharpening leading to mush on detail if you don't have any dialled in.

Old post but interesting !

Question: are you talking about iMovie on Mac ? If yes does it mean that it requires to have a specific setting ? What about using d-cinelike ? Thks
