I was monitor the DJI Go app traffic yesterday with Mavic and the remote controller sitting next to my computer. The remote was attached to an iPad. The 2.4GHz WIFI signal went away as long as the remote or the Mavic was on. I even had an aluminum foil reflector behind my WIFI antennae, and that didn't help at all.
What I ended up doing was wrapping the drone and the remote in two layers of aluminum foil. Since aluminum is a good heat conductor, they didn't get too hot. I was able to use the WIFI with a little bit of interference after that. With that in mind, I should build a Faraday cage.
