Is there a way to measure your distance above things?

I've noticed that when looking at the camera image looking down when you are directly above a building or a tree, it feels like you are a lot closer than you really are.
Given it has downward vision and ultrasound sensors.....is it possible to use these to detect the distance? It's obviously doing this for obstacle avoidance etc but I can't see that you can display this info. I'd like to be able to get in a little closer you see.

Others can correct me, but I believe that information is already displayed on the bottom of the app once below 30ft or so, if you have the downward sensors enabled.
