Just bought a new sealed MP from Sam's Club - TX batt @ 0% ??

Just bought a new sealed MP from Sam's Club today for a family member today. I was quite surprised that the TX battery was @ 0% and would not even light up for a battery check until I plugged it in to charge.

It's on charge now - I've read about how not to let your MP battery go that low, the aircraft was at 24% and manufacture date was 3/14/2017.

Should I consider an exchange or is this not really a problem?

Sounds normal, the RC drains a little battery even when off and since the new LiPo shipping regulations now require them to be <30% for shipping instead of the 60% they should be for best longevity that will be empty if the thing was on a shelf for 2 months.

Should not be an issue, no point returning unless you have an actual charging or battery life problem.

Where do you even find the manufacture date? I've looked all over and don't see it.

The electronics inside the smart battery will not let it drain to zero.
