I got my Mavic pro a month ago and I love it.

I thought I would try and long range test in the desert so there won't be any interference.
Around the city, I can never get more than a couple thousand feet.

Unfortunately, I thought I was recording my screen but I didn't.

I got to 16,111 feet before returning home with very strong signal.
On the return back the app crashed but I got it up again. Really strong winds drained the power towards the end but I managed to land home with 5% battery.

I want to test how far it can go one way with no RTH to test signal strength because there was a lot of signal left.

I love this thing!

There are several members of this forum who have flown their mavic 3 miles out and 3 miles back on 1 battery charge in a clear area with no interference and no wind. I believe 20,000 FT away is the furthest I've seen (verified) on YouTube.

Last night I pushed my Mavic for the first time. I'm normally just getting specific shots or video, but last night I decided to head out before the storm and take a tour around my family farms. Flew all the way to my uncles 2.2 miles away. Flight time was 24min and 8 seconds for a total travel distance 36,619. Pretty impressive for stock everything and a lot of 60-80ft tree foliage all around.

What stands out in your flight is the 24:08 fly time.

What's the normal? All my batteries run around this time. I was impressed with the RC signal also only once dropped to 3 bars then right back up to 4 at two miles out.

Best I've ever gotten was 22mins and that was going pretty easy on the controls and staying close by. I think most of us expect about 20 mins out of it on average.

I average around 20-22. I did fly that 24min run down to 5%. I normally do not do that. I call it quits around 15-20%

I usually fly 18min with 30-35% remaining. The 24min is close to normal at 5%, its just a time that doesn't pop up in conversation that often.

I don't know how you all are getting so far out. I can't fly beyond about 8,000 - 10,000 ft away before I lose all connection to the Mavic.
