The big story here in Houston is that the public has been shocked by helicopters flying as low as 150' at 80 mph yesterday. I saw one go between two buildings yesterday downtown which I have never seen before. The mission is somewhat secret, but apparently they are measuring a baseline for natural radiation so that they can scan again on SuperBowl Sunday and locate unusual radiation. I didn't check any of the apps or web pages but I was wondering if the FAA warned drone owners. Seems like there could have been an issue. I know there's a huge no fly zone on Sunday.

If you use an app like Hover of I'm sure the FAA's B4UFLY app they show up to date No Fly Zones... should be clear on them if something is in place which I would very much expect with the SuperBowl on!

i saw them yesterday. shockingly low. i believe there was an no fly restriction on the FAA app.
