I know there are a lot of P3/P4 pilots here, so I am assuming there might be some experience with Manfrotto D1 bag. I'm looking at that one now as a possibility because It appears it would handle my Mavic and my Dslr w/ a couple of lens to boot. Any experience using it as such? Thanks .

I'll have a better bag to suggest in 2 days. I ordered 2 different bags and I'll be able to tell you more.

I can say I purchased the Manfrotto mini 120 which has the soft rubber straps and easily fit my Mavic and DSLR with other extras. I hated the straps and sent it back.

Currently I'm using the Slingshot 200AW but I need just a bit more room to fit everything I have. I plan on testing both bags to see which will hold all my Mavic stuff plus DSLR Camera.

I should have them both on Wednesday. But here is my current setup.

Which two did you order to test? Are you happy with the pictured hard cases for MP and controller? Vendor?
Thanks

I had the D1 for my p4 and it was huge. Fantastic build quality and held my dslr along with my p4 but it may be a bit big for a dslr and Mavic. Not sure you'll want to lug that thing very far but very nice bag.

The 2 backpacks I ordered is the Lowepro Slingshot 250 and the Lowepro Tactic 350.

As for the cases for the Mavic and the Remote... They are great. I've been very happy with them aside from providing an extra protection in the backpack.

Do you habe pics of the lowepro 350? I have the slingshot but need something just a tad bigger

I have pics and video posted....

What makes this 350 really nice it has a MOLLE system so you can add MOLLE pouches on the back to add more storage. But I think you'll be fine. I ended up purchasing a 6x6x3 MOLLE pouch to add my landing skid to it which is on the way so I got everything I need pretty much and added my iPad and landing pad that unfolds as you can see in video as I take things out.
