Mavic AirCraft won't boot without a USB source

Recently the Mavic AirCraft (AC) won't boot without a USB source (either RC or Computer) being attached via the USB cable.

Not sure why this is happening... The aircraft is 45ish days old and has not suffered a crash of any sort. I am running the latest firmware on both the AC and the RC.

What happens:

When the AC is booted W/O being teathered to the RC, the props rotate slightly, the wing lights turn red, the gimble calibrates and I hear the audiable boot chime. However the tail LED does not illuminate nor do the ultrasound sensors emitt the thumping sound. The RC will not connect

When I have the AC connected to the RC and boot the aircraft. the props rotate slightly, the wing lights turn red, the gimble calibrates , I hear the audiable boot chime, the tail lights rotate between yellow, red, green and the ultra sound sensors thump. The remote instanly connects. I am able to then remove the USB cable and take flight.

Does anyone have any recommendations why this is happening and better yet a solution to this...

Tagging along. This one is new to me. I suggest you extract a DAT file from the Mavic, one without the tether and the other with it.
There might be something in there that might give a clue as to what is happening.

Have you tried re-flashing the firmware? It sounds like its little brains are scrambled. Personally, I would reload the firmware, then recalibrate the IMU and compass to see if that doesn't fix the problem.

I agree with Qonncussion.
The firmware on the craft seems to be corrupted or incomplete. It's getting errors with certain libraries and then bypasses them.

I would suggest you reload the firmware again.
