Hi all

after firmware update failure...

MP flashing yellow, does not connect to RC with dji go, or laptop with dji assistant 2, tried many cables, different batteries, osx and windows ..

RC is working fine, updates with assitant 2 to last version 500 released today, but stays with the message on screen searching for a drone connection..

does the mavic have a "priority" way to load the firmware file from the sd card before it goes dumb ?

does anybody returned from MP brick mode?

thanks! help!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried to re-bind the Tx to mavic?

If your light is blinking yellow it's lost it's link.

I never understand how the Mavic bricks when updating. I can only think of one way this happens and that would be the updating client got interrupted somehow during the update and left incomplete software on the drone.

sure maybe a bad internet connection was the cause, but the software should take care of that, it seems it does not...

If the internet connection interrupted the download then it would fail before updating the drone. All updaters use a checksum to validate the integrity of the package before applying. At least they should be. The interruption must have happened while the files were being transferred.

i don't know why because everything was on and with plenty of battery , anyway after following the updates messages , finally it didn't work and now is useless.. as well as the chat with dji support.. they gave me no solution, wrong turn for dji..

I would imagine, that some sort of failsafe has to be built in to recover a bricked drone. Smartphones have it, and other devices have it. I wonder if there is some sort of reset button there, maybe holding in the RC link button for a while. This is purely speculation, but it's worth a shot. While you're at see if you can relink the controller in the process.

I read that the mavic cummunictes to assistant with Ethernet over USB. Try to disable all your firewalls, especially windows firewall and disable your antivirus software and try running assistant and connecting the cable again.

I have the same issue. Only yellow light blinking fast, no way to bind RC to mavic.
When plugged in to PC it connect and disconnect 2 sec later in a loop.

Did You send your mavic for a repair?

Same issue, I really want to fix it quickly though.

I found the fix. I give 100% credit to myself. LMAO. I opened the darn thing up and took out the internal SD card. Not the one for video. The one for firmware files. Then, I installed the firmware I wanted, I formatted the Internal Memory Chip on my PC and put it back in. Everything works now.
