Hi
I ordered mine approx. 11th Nov and took delivery on 30th Nov so delighted with great response and service I received from DJI reseller MHS located in Clare. Would highly recommend them

Model Heli Services - Irelands DJI Specialists

Also, great that we don't have to register Mavic Pro with IAA authority as only drones above 1kg require registration.
All the best and happy flying.

Hi guys,

Hello from Skerries, Dublin. Been flying drones for two years and loving this Mavic Pro.

Source my Mavic at RadioControlledShop, great service.

Hi All

From Rialto, Dublin. I've been flying cheap drones for a year or 2 and decided to get a Mavic Pro 3 weeks ago. Went for the fly more combo and an extra battery. I haven't managed to use up all the batteries on an expedition yet!! Loving it so far although the weather has been getting in the way a bit!

Has anyone done any of the commercial pilot training courses in Ireland? If so are they worth a look? Also is the exam tricky?

I have not done any commercial training, but few people who have did not learn much, very expensive.

I would only consider the commercial purse if you intend flying on a commercial bases. Like most things in Ireland, over price for what you receive. Also the commercial insurance is crazy money.

Be safe and happy landings....

Hello Folks, anyone around mid-Cork (I am in Macroom) or Cork city like to meet up?

Hi all,

Dunboyne here. Been playing around with a small Syma drone for a few months to get a feel for the controls... About to order my Mavic. Looking for recommendations on where to purchase, local reseller, DJI website? I'll probably go for the DJI refresh option too... How do I get this if I'm buying locally, is it possible to purchase this separately from the DJI website? Which local (Dublin area) suppliers have people had good (or bad) experiences with?

Many thanks....

Hey man, you will find the mavic much easier to control than any Syma Drone. I know there is a couple of Irish sellers, check out Drone Owners Ireland on Facebook they all post regularly on that page. I ordered props when I was at home in Ireland for 10days from Model Heli Services - Irelands DJI Drone Specialists & RC Model Shop who also post on that FB page, and I received them within 1 day so great service from them.
You can buy your mavic from anywhere and once you open it and activate the drone you have 48 hours to register your drone for DJI Refresh on the DJI website.

Thanks Anthony... Yes, that's where I bought my Mavic, just walked in and picked it up, no delays, delivery time etc... Plenty of accessories in stock too... I definitely think it's better to buy from a reputable local supplier, rather than buying online from DJI... Several flights in, just about out of beginner mode, just scratching the surface of what this amazing piece of kit can do, but loving it!!

Im going to keep watching this post. I love Ireland. Have a friend in Cork City (Cork) and another in NewMarket on Fergus (Clare). Would love to see drone footage from either of those areas. Do any of you have Youtube channels I can subscribe to?
