Greetings all drone pilots,
My Mavic Pro fly away today.
Here is my routine checked prior taking off.
1) 99% battery power, both controller and the drone.
2) Started power
3) calibrated compass.
4) controller reported home location is recorded.
5) lifted off the ground
6) moved the drone 25ft horizontal 25ft vertical
7) set home point.
8) observation of surround area.
5) all clear.
6) climbed up altitude of 100 ft

While Recorded several different setup of video.
Controller report 30% battery power.
Hit return home key.
Drone did not respond accordingly, it increased altitude
flew up 950ft vertical, 400 ft horizontal away from home.
while camera is recorded.
controller reported safe landed at somewhere unknown location.

Received the Mavic on Dec 24th. I bought myself a gift.
Just unbelievable - It's a TOTAL lost.

To all drone pilots. Please have your tel on the drone.
Just in case someone found.

Interestingly I did have my Mavic start increasing in height yesterday when I hit return to home. It did come back towards the area I had launched from and then suddenly started going up, up, up.... Luckily I was able to just cancle the return to home and then land manually. My RTH height was set at 50 meters as I was flying near some very tall trees, but I was already above that height when I hit RTH and like I said, it came back to me and THEN started heading higher, which was really weird.

. . . and a tracker. Having had 2 DJIs fly away, I now have GPS or Marco Polo trackers on everything I fly.

moocao, please see my instructions here.

subscribed. Im really worried about these drones ascending past the max ascend set for RTH. This sounds scarry.

Can you describe the location you were flying in. Was in full of tall buildings? Was there anything that the drone would encounter that it would try to get around that is around 1000 feet high?

Greetings "msinger'. I followed the instruction.
1) launched the DJI app
2) clicked the icon of paper airplane
3) clicked the cloud on top right corner
4) Flight list displayed N/A
NONE.

Interesting. I did a test where I started the drone, and as it was running I took out the battery to simulate a malfunction and the logs were still generated. Something isn't right here.

Need help finding your flight log? For Android devices, connect your device to a computer via a USB cable and go to "DJI/dji.pilot/FlightRecord". For Apple devices, see this video for instructions on retrieving your log from iTunes. After retrieving your log, click the "Browse..." button above to upload it (don't upload it at HealthyDrones.com).

DJI must monitored this blogs >>> Mavic Pro Fly Away <<<
then erase my fly records on their clouds.
I launched the DJI app in ordered to fly.
They must have it on their clouds.
I logged today. All shown N/A.
Believe or NOT.
Shown N/A
I received the Mavic on Dec 24th
Started to fly on Dec 26th till Jan 16th

Are you claiming that DJI deliberately erased you flight data? For what reason? Did you have DJI Care on the Mavic?
