I have seen a lot of videos on YouTube as to how to get the best results shooting video. I have seen some say that shooting in 2.7k is as good as 4K.. When they edit the 2.7k do they export to the finished video as 4K? Or best to shoot in 4K if your finished product will be in 4K? If 4K is your desired end result I mean.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I like the 2.7k video - looks great and smaller file size, but totally personal preference IMO. If I had to have 4k end result I would shoot in 4k.

I usually do 2.7 video as my output is generally 1080p. But the advantage of 4k is that if your output is lower such as 1080p you can crop some of the image to zoom in on something in particular when editing the footage without losing quality.

I like 2.7 myself. Maybe when I update next year to a 4k TV I may start shooting in 4k.
