Mirror video to apple Tv

I'm curious to see if any one has tried to mirror the live video from an iPad as you are flying the mavic to a TV that has a Apple TV box hooked up to it?
I have a few people that want to come over a watch a 'live' flight.

Done that but with an android phone and a Samsung TV. Pretty cool to fly from the couch on the big TV

I don't think it would work. Does the Mp hook up to your phone via wifi? If not then it would. As long as that wifi slot is still active on your homes wifi.

So just be sure, Iphone/ipad connected to the controller pushing feed to appletv via wifi.

Does this push your controls to the TV as well or do you retain all that funtionality on the phone/tablet? I would like to essentially create a mirrored screen for groundstation / spotter / SAR applications and I can't really use the same funtionality I've had with older setups.

It mirrored everything that you see on the phone over to the tv. I was showing my dad in the house as it was brass monkeys outside!!
