Multiple Controller Question

Newbie here so this may be a question that has come up in the past. Much of my flying is done away from any sort of charging possibility so I was thinking of getting a second controller and keeping it charged up for reserve. Can I use 2 different controllers at different times and still keep my settings, etc?

Yes. You'll need to relink the remote controller with your Mavic each time you switch though.

I'm a newbie here too, so maybe I'm off base here - but it seems like since the RC is charged by a USB port, a common USB battery pack should suffice to charge the RC? Perhaps that won't meet the O.P.'s needs if they don't have time to recharge, but otherwise it seems like a battery pack used to recharge cell phones would work to charge the RC. The RC has a 2970mAh battery, which is comparable in size to most cell phones, as well. so a 10,000 mah battery pack should yield 2-3 charges of the RC, and save an additional investement of $250 for a second RC.

Or grab the battery pack to USB converter from DJI and use one of your MP batteries to charge the controller.

I have a 27500 mAh battery pack that a carry with me just for field charging of what's needed. I also bought a Multicharger Parallel Multi Battery Charger with Two USB Ports for DJI Mavic Pro, Batteries - Amazon Canada which will also work with an in vehicle inverter although I haven't tried it with an inverter. Works great at home though.
