So I've been binging out on Mav Porn for weeks now!! I can't sleep without waking in a cold sweat to fly dreams! Problem is I can't figure out how to justify this over powering urge to start a refreshing new hobby to wifey 1.0. The mere mention of it gets her circuits overloading. I'm so at a loss.... and ya'll just keep posting that beautiful Mav Porn all over place!! I so need help....

Make your life easy. Just give her your credit card, and tell her to go shopping. If there is anything left on the card when she gets back, then go buy a Mavic.

Just buy it and tell her you don't have to explain yourself! It's mostly your fault though, you set up your relationship this way from the beginning and now you're stuck with it. LOL.

Find somewhere she likes you can fly and take some good pictures from a different perspective and she will come around

Tell her the ultrasonic sensors on the bottom chase away scorpions, snakes and all sorts of vermin. If that does not work ask for it for Xmas and your next three birthdays. Or tell her it is an interest you would really like to do with her and spend some time together, hiking and filming.

I would suggest to get a second controller and let her be slave. Let her enjoy flying with you watching her moves. Make it a 2 person thing and I bet she will have a change in heart. Go to some place scenic and let her enjoy the views!

All good advice... well... for the most part.

@Tonka ; That's how we've lasted this long, finding mutual hobbies we can both enjoy and share in. As expensive as hobbying can be theses days, I try to keep it down to one at time. IE: when residing in FL it was mudding. My Tonka was a Taco though. Once it got to the point of replacing parts after every go... the Taco was sold and in came riding... the two wheel kind. Well after years of sport bikes and then growning old on the HDs... I'm ready for another. Have always loved 'flying'... thus the avatar.. but never really got to get into it. There's an RC Airfield Club thing down the road from us. I tend to ride the bike there on a Saturday and just sit and watch these guys fly those big RC planes. Talk about an expensive hobby... 10k(+) (from talking with some of them) just to get started. I'd have to sell my Harley after one mishap! Anyhow... I'm getting lost rambling on here...

I know your right... that's how I would play some small stuff. Like, wow, how did that new daymaker head lamp get on my bike!?!? Although I gotta think if I tried that with this price tag... I'd be in world of hurt and eating alone.

@Bunny Too : I like the way ya think! Except Xmas is one month before my B'day.. and both just passed... and I got no kind of patience what so ever. Once my mind is locked on something.. I gotta have it now or it won't shut down on the subject until I do.

If you have the itch you have to scratch it. Tell the wife you could drink, do drugs or chase women. It would be a small price to pay to save the relationship. I myself gave up all three and my Harley Davidson.

Ok I understand the situation you find yourself in, you need a compromise and to find some common ground, I love gadgets nearly as much as my wife, my wife loves handbags nearly as much as me !!
