Hi Guys,
Today was my first fight with my mavic, after powering up and ready for
take off, my compass on the app said normal, so I flew in up about 30 feet
high and 60 feet out for 14 mins and fight was perfect and stable as a rock.
is this normal not to calibrate the compass for the very first time in a new
location? considering it came from china???
just wondering ....should I let be or do a compass calibration even though
in the app it says compass normal......all thoughts and experiences greatly
appreciated,
Thanks, Kevin

Yes. This is normal.
If you feel like doing it, calibrating the compass in a metal- and magnet-free area won't do any harm either.

Like said in a different thread: don't over-complicate things. Just use it...

Didn't calibrate compass until I saw some toilet bowl effect. Watch for that. Also check your sensors before you fly.
