Hey all!
Ill be going to Corona Park this Sunday to do my first outdoor flying with the Mavic. Would be interested to hear other peoples experience flying drones in the city. (Outside of the Aviator Park zones).

Have you found areas around the city where you are able to fly? I have been looking all over the web for places. Nothing is clear and some of the information is contradictory.

Flying in any NYC Park is illegal.
I fly at my Heli Club in Brooklyn. You are welcome as a guest. Must be AMA and registered with FAA .
Might be a little difficult now to have member escort in.(gated)

Thanks for the information. I did stumble upon your club when I was looking at the below website. I do see the park you used listed on here as well. I guess that must be the only correct information that I have found so far! [emoji2]

The only problem is that park is about an hour and a half from where I live by subway… which is a little bit of a hike.

Do you have a website where it says it is illegal to fly in parks?
