Newbie Photo Question

Hi,

So I finally received my DJI Mavic Pro and after a couple of short test flights in my backyard, I decided to take it down to the river near downtown Sacramento and take some test shots. I was a little frustrated with the quality, then realized I'm shooting JPEGs, so they are much more challenging to edit. So, I'm looking for advice on optimal camera settings for photos (is there an option to shoot in RAW, is it better to shoot 4k video and pull pics from that footage?) and some suggestions on best editing software for video.

Here are a couple examples of the photos I've taken so far. The files both were uploaded and edited in LR, and CC appreciated.

There si an option for JPG+DNG. DNG is a form of raw.

BTW.. my first attempt at a video edit, tried using iMovie and GarageBand... I'm sure there are better options out there, if anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I currently use Adobe Premiere Pro CC and it is slick. I edit weddings, concerts, vacations and soon my Mavic adventures. It's around $20/mo.
