My first thought was what does this lose from the pro:

The Phantom 4 Advanced inherits most of the functions of the Phantom 4 Pro. However, in order to increase affordability, unlike the Phantom 4 Pro the Phantom 4 Advanced does not have rear vision sensors and two infrared sensors in its FlightAutonomy system. Also, its remote controller does not support the 5.8 GHz frequency band and Tapfly Backward has been removed.

I like the sound of it as I'm still tempted to get an additional drone with the 1in sensor and could live with the missing rear sensors for a price reduction although right now Amazon have the Phantom 4 Pro brand new for less than DJI are selling the P4 advanced.

If those are all that changes it seems the P4 Advanced becomes the new P4 Pro+, and the P4 Pro+ becomes the P4 "Beginner Edition" since they're the ones who actually need the anticollision sensors the most

Never encountered a situation where 5.8 transmission was useful yet. More of a hassle to always switch back to 2.4 to avoid the crappy 5.8 range.

No, it's going to be a slightly cheaper version of the Pro.
