Produced videos jumping all the way through

Hi all, beginner to editing and videos etc. in both videos i've done you can see a skip or jump every second or so but its right the way through the videos.
The video file shows -

3840 x 2160 @ 29fps

Editing software puts it out at 24fps

Is this the reason for the skip? i have to admit not checking what the clips were at before putting them through the editor.
Do i need to up my framerate in filming?

Yes. Figure out what you need to do to output 29.9fps as the original is.

Ok thanks, i'll set up a custom production profile with 29fps and re-do one of them to test

Just an update, i've just re-produced just one clip from the active track test that had the issue and run it at 29.9 fps and its butter smooth thanks
