Quick Take - Outer Islands of Aichi, Japan

I had a couple days to skip work so I took some passenger ferries off the southern coast of central Japan. These islands are famous for octopus, squid and that poisonous pufferfish that only specially licensed sushi chefs can serve.

Beautiful video work. Did you use an ND filter? I am very curious about your camera settings because your video seems much crisper and clearer than most Mavic videos I have seen.

For these shots, yes, I used a FreeWell ND filter. The hazy days got ND8 and sunny days got ND16. However, most of my other vids in that channel do not. I try to yaw slowly enough it won't matter much.

Plain UHD4K@30 D-Cinelike through FCPX with occasional contrast adjustment for pop, but nothing aggressive.

This is a raw cut without processing on my end but on YouTube.
